As a main project for my first school internship, I wanted to develop a badminton league between the different schools in Beirut. My name is Yiri Guittin, I am currently studying International Sport Management and Business in Amsterdam. This project is supported by the American Community School at Beirut and will be held within their facilities, as well as the facilities of the neighbour International College.

The American Community School at Beirut has the pleasure to announce the creation of a badminton league for the different schools throughout the city. The league offers the opportunity for badminton players to compete in singles and doubles against the other students of Beirut. Every student is welcome to take part in the competition regardless of their level. The purpose of this league is to promote the practice of badminton in Beirut and to give the chance to students to access this sport at a competitive level while having fun.

The competition will occur within the facilities of ACS as well as IC and will kick off at the end of February. The league is open for students of U18, U16 and U14. The badminton league will be divided into two small tournaments, followed by playoffs for all the students playing in the competition. The students can play either in singles either in doubles (no mixed doubles).
